"There is almost a natural wind beneath our wings that could help propel us towards our goals."
Why it is Impactful:
This quote stands out as the best because it encapsulates the essence of motivation and support that nature and the changing seasons provide. It conveys a sense of ease and encouragement, suggesting that we are not alone in our journey. Just as the wind assists a bird in flight, the seasonal changes can inspire and uplift us, making it feel more possible to pursue our ambitions. This imagery evokes a strong emotional response, reminding listeners that they can harness external energy to fuel their personal growth and progress toward their goals.

What's up, everybody? This is Drew, and I want to welcome you back to Learn How to See Better. It's the only podcast out there that'll improve your vision the longer you listen. And today, April 30th, 2025, I want to share a powerful, kind, loving, motivational message: spring into action. It's as simple as that—spring into action.
It's the end of April. We're about a month into spring, roughly six weeks. We're getting into the warmth of the year, the change of seasons, and it really is spring pretty much everywhere you go unless you're heading pretty far north. No matter who you are or where you're at, you're starting to notice that in everyday living. If you're a night owl or not a morning person, you're probably noticing that you need those window shades drawn because that sun's creeping in earlier each morning, starting to agitate your sleep patterns. Conversely, if you're an early riser, you're digging the fact that you're not waiting on the sun anymore until 7 a.m. You're naturally waking with your circadian rhythm, rising with the sun, and that's changing things. As the sun rises earlier, it gives you natural motivation to spring into action.
When I talk about learning how to see better, this is one concept I hope to share today—learning to see seasons and seasonality in a better, more productive light. Our seasons can be very interesting where I live. I live in Phoenix, Arizona. It gets hot in the summer. It's April now, and we've had some paradise weather this month. It's also been hot, touching 100 degrees, even though we're not in the hottest months yet. Some days have had highs around 70 degrees. It's a shift and change in the season.
I want to talk briefly about what can be done with this season for you—this season of opportunity. There's a tree in my neighbor's yard I can see from my backyard. Right around mid-March, at the start of spring, that tree had lost all its leaves from winter. It's a good-sized, healthy tree, but all the branches were barren. If you looked at it on March 15th, you'd think it was the middle of winter. You couldn't tell the difference on a cool, cloudy day. Yet within six short weeks, that tree is now fully bloomed with all the leaves it'll have until winter returns. That's another six months minimum; we get cold late in the year, so closer to nine months total. Think about all that activity from nature's perspective—in just six weeks, going from bare branches to lush, abundant leaves, ready to go all year long.
If you think there's harmony between us humans and nature on this spinning rock, there might be clues there about how we can look at seasonality. What can we do in that same timeframe? How can we shift? How can we spring into action over these next six weeks? We're roughly halfway through the second quarter. Not even 90 days, just over a month and a half. You really can spring into action.
Look around. The days are getting longer, and the sun's rising earlier. Hopefully, you've had your first meal outside, enjoying the good weather and the shifting seasons. Hopefully, you like your environment. If not, there are always opportunities to make a different decision about that. But the idea is to spring into action and look at all areas of your life. If you tried to run the totals at this one-third mark of the year, how are things going? How are things progressing? Do you feel on track for how you want this year to play out? Or do you know you've got more in the tank that you can summon from within and apply towards your objectives?
Again, the idea of springing into action reminds you there's almost a natural wind beneath our wings that could help propel us towards our goals. We can make a lot of progress in a short amount of time. It doesn't have to be a grind all year. It just takes focus, concentration, and dedication in any area of your life.
For me, when the sun doesn't rise until 7 a.m. in winter, it feels tougher to get out of bed early and exercise. But now, there's something special—the sun's already up by the time you wake or it's helping to wake you. It's like, "Hey, let's get going!" The weather feels good outside. You want to step outside; it's not cold or hot, it's just right. You want to soak it in. Here in Arizona, our paradise seasons are short. Soon enough, some days in May will feel like mayhem, and people will be screaming "May Day!"
May I remind everyone there's a moment to be present, enjoy, and embrace the season you're in—from both presence of mind and recognition standpoints. Recognize the opportunity you have to spring into action during this season of growth and expansion. Look around—things are in bloom, new life and opportunities are everywhere. Tune into that frequency, ride that wave, and enjoy the blooming of your life and your experience. Say this out loud: "I enjoy life. I'm having a great time. I spring into action and actively pursue my goals. I put first things first. I don't major in minor things. I major in major things."
Springing into action—that's my wisdom as we wrap up April 2025. Use these moments to review and revitalize. I'm proud to say I've had an active last 30 days, learning new things and expanding my knowledge. It's exciting to allow myself the space to be a student. I enjoy learning and teaching. I use what I absorb to shift my perspective, helping me see better, and I spin it back around to help others see better, too. See how that comes full circle?
Spring into action as you wrap up the month or start the new one. May is upon us, and may I suggest you spring into action?
Thank you for listening. Share this with a friend if they need a little pep in their step moving into the second trimester of 2025. Again, I'm your host, Drew Davis, and this is Learn How to See Better—the only podcast that'll improve your vision the longer you listen!
